Boris Begelman is widely recognized as one of the most interesting voices in the baroque violin world today. A graduate of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, he later specialized in Italy, where he currently resides.

Boris appeared frequently as both concertmaster and soloist with leading ensembles such as Concerto Italiano, Il Pomo d'Oro, Accademia Bizantina and many others. Since 2014, he has led his own ensemble, Arsenale Sonoro, earning rave reviews for recordings on Sony DHM, Obsidian and Pentatone.

His notable release within the Vivaldi Edition catalog, "Le nuove vie" (2021), features six virtuosic concertos and was selected as the Concerto Choice by BBC Music Magazine. Among his past engagements it is worth mentioning: conductor and solo violin of the baroque ensemble of Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, conducting the world premiere performance of Leonardo Vinci's Oratorio "per la Madonna del Rosario" for Elbphilarmonie’s Viva Napoli! Festival at Laeiszhalle Hamburg; conductor and solo violin of the world premiere performance of Perti/Predieri's La Sepoltura di Cristo at Tage Alter Musik in Herne, recorded live for the WDR.

In addition to his busy recording and touring schedule, Begelman teaches Baroque Violin at the Piccinni Conservatory in Bari and holds masterclasses internationally.
