Shinobu Kawashima solo product " CHiLi GiRL "
Spirited shamisen player and singer-songwriter shima’s new project, started June of 2020.
As Kawashima Shinobu, prior to her enrollment at the Tokyo University of the Arts as a performer of traditional arts she earned first prize at the National Tsugaru Shamisen Tournament 4 times.
In her project “CHiLi GiRL”, under the theme of “Spicy and Charming” she continues pushing the boundaries of the genres she delves into. With her characteristic wide-open approach to her musical career recently she produced the music for “One Person Play (Hitori Shibai)” starring Masaki Sata of Bad Boy’s fame, achieving critical acclaim as both the composer and performer for the play.
