Club Makumba is a free, spontaneous, experimental and tribalist exercise.

The band gathers Tó Trips (guitars), João Doce (drums), Gonçalo Prazeres (saxophone) and Gonçalo Leonardo (bass and double bass), who together build a journey of free, spontaneous and tribalist sounds, traveling between Mediterranean sounds and an imagined Africa, without any bias or borders.

A fusion of rock maps, guitars from south coasts, North Africa's warm rhythms through jazz dunes, reaching us in electrical dust storms.
Their energy on stage is glorious and contagious, bringing down all the evils of the world.
