David Hicken was born and raised in England, and began piano lessons with his mother when he was three. In addition to piano, he studied clarinet, organ and choral music. He studied with Nicholas Danby at the Royal College of Music and later attended Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore. He released his first CD when he was just nineteen, and went on to release CDs of new age music, organ and piano music. He releases solo piano music regularly and posts videos on YouTube.
