Django Reinhardt was the Romani-French guitar genius who reinvented jazz with just two working fretting fingers. A founder of the Quintette du Hot Club de France, he fused lightning-fast lines with soulful phrasing to create the sound now known as gypsy jazz. His melodic instinct and improvisational fire still define the language of acoustic jazz guitar.
