Efe Erdem was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1989.
Efe began his music education in the Classical Trombone Department, taking lessons from A. Bedii Durham. During this time, he participated in Classical Trombone, Jazz/ Blues and Latin music workshops. At the age of 15, alongside his studies, he already played with many classical orchestras/bands and performed as a trombonist in concert halls, theaters, clubs and bars, covering all styles of music but concentrating primarily on jazz and improvisation.
In 2008, Efe became a part of the alumni of Bart van Lier and Ilja Reijngoud at Codarts Conservatory, Rotterdam. He graduated in 2012. Since then, he has played at many festivals, was featured on radio stations/TV channels, performed at various festivals and cultural organizations, composed/played on many albums/projects in Turkey, Holland, Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg, South Africa and Indonesia.
Efe has proven with his discipline, diligence, positivity and consistency that he can perfectly adapt to a new situation. He has moved to Rotterdam on his own and focused on starting a life in a new country. He has studied, worked and still works extremely hard, creates goodwill, has built a wide artistic and a professional network around his practice. Efe turns opportunities into luck and is determined to improve himself, both as a musician, as well as a young professional.
