SoCal grrrl-punk trio Emily's Sassy Lime (the name's a palindrome) was formed in 1994 by singer/guitarist Emily Ryan, bassist Amy Yao and her drummer sister Wendy. All three were still in high school at the time of their 1995 X-mas label debut "Summer Vacation," soon followed by the LP Right Is Here; in 1996, Emily's Sassy Lime signed to Kill Rock Stars to issue the full-length Desperate, Scared, But Social, but maintained a low profile in the years to come as all three members attended different colleges. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
