Est8 is a London-based producer, remixer, and multi platinum-certified artist with over 20 years shaping house, soulful house, and crossover sounds.
Early breakthroughs came under the pseudonym One51 with Richard Earnshaw on Soulfuric Deep’s “Si Weka” (2004). In 2003, as Ed Funk & D Rok, he remixed Blu Cantrell’s “Breathe” feat. Sean Paul—helping it top the UK charts for four weeks for which he received a Gold Certified disc from BPI.
His defining hit arrived in 2010: co-writing and co-producing “These Tears” with Spiritchaser duo (Richard Earnshaw and Mark Bamford). The track ruled South Africa’s charts (No.1 for 8+ weeks, 38+ weeks in Top Ten), earned multi platinum certification by RISA, and built a massive legacy. The Est8’ production was sampled in Kwesta’s platinum anthem “Spirit” feat. Wale (No.1 hit, millions of streams including ~8M+ on Spotify and 25M+ YouTube plays) and Visca’s 2025 Sony release “Ngizojabula” feat. Zee_nhle & Cuba Beats (viral amapiano rise, 2M+ Spotify streams and 6.2M on YouTube in first few months of release).
Recent highlight include Love Klubb’s “Ready For Love” (No.1 Traxsource Christmas chart, 2023) and widespread syncs: BMW, Vodacom, Jameson, Nando’s 2025/2026 relaunch/rebrand, plus TV/film/gaming (The Grand Tour, CSI, BBC Sport, PlayStation/Xbox).

With ~200K monthly listeners on Spotify, Est8 continues bridging timeless music with fresh collaborations in to 2026 and beyond.
