In 2019, following a personal crisis, I began writing and self-releasing the music I had always dreamed of creating. My music has since been included in numerous editorial playlists, earned 27+ million streams globally, been used in films, ad campaigns, and received radio play around the world.
I always wanted to be a composer and started playing the piano at the age of four. I produced electronic music at 12, played guitar and sang in grunge/metal bands during my teenage years, and then studied classical piano at the conservatory when I was 20. While studying, I also began composing music for films, audiobooks, and theater and have continued to do so in various styles and genres. However, my music always tends to have a somber and melancholic quality to it.
My latest single <a href="spotify:track:3hja4TiqMxibAtgX8Z4qXT" data-name="Mika's Waltz">Mika's Waltz</a> celebrates the joy and wonder of new life, captured in the moments following my son's birth. It was also the beginning of a long, difficult journey, deeply marked by a battle with a severe and rare illness in our family.
