Composer, producer and founder of record label bigo & twigetti, Jim Perkins combines music written for instrumental performance with detailed editing and post production techniques. He writes intricate work creating elaborate textures and exploiting ambisonic and psychoacoustic phenomena to create a sense of depth and detail in his work.
As a composer his work has been performed at The Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), The Turner Contemporary, The National Portrait Gallery and London’s South Bank Centre. His music has been streamed over 20 million times across Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer and been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio 6, NPR, WNYC and RTE. He has released 4 full length albums ‘Grains (2011) and 'Constance' (2015) & 'Pools' (2019) and an EP 'Immersed in Clouds' released Jan 2022. His latest album 'Imprints' was released on 01st December 2023
