First Breath After Coma is a band based in Leiria, Portugal, formed in 2012 and rooted in experimental post-rock, with a very focused and surgical approach to sound exploration and production.
The project stands out for its 360° creative vision: music, image, video and concept are developed together, as inseparable parts of the same artistic object. As musicians and visual artists, they approach every record, collaboration or live performance as a complete experience, from composition to presentation.
Throughout their career, they have collaborated with artists such as Noiserv, Banda de Música de Mateus and Salvador Sobral, exploring different formats and musical languages. Live, they have performed at some of the country’s largest festivals and venues, and have toured extensively across Europe.
First Breath After Coma thus presents itself as a creative collective that thinks music beyond sound, crossing disciplines and contexts to build integrated artistic experiences.
