Jasmim blooms from the vibrant Lisbon music scene that took shape in the 2010s, crossing paths with musicians of his generation such as Sallim, Filipe Sambado, Maria Reis, Luís Severo, Duquesa, Éme, and Primeira Dama.
His sound and lyrics are deeply rooted in Portuguese musical heritage from the 60s and 70s, as well as in the protest songs of artists like José Afonso, Fausto, and José Mário Branco, who continue to inspire him.
His musical journey began in 2014 with Mighty Sands, a psychedelic surf rock quintet known for its punk and D.I.Y. attitude. With the band, he recorded Big Pink vol. 1 and vol. 2, founded the label Spring Toast Records, and toured extensively across Portugal and Europe.
As a solo artist, he debuted with the single "Primavera" (2016) and the EP Oitavo Mar (2017), paving the way for his first full-length album, Culto da Brisa (2019). In 2021, he returned with Acordado ou a Sonhar, further developing his musical and poetic identity, solidifying his place in the culture.
Between 2023 and 2024, he collaborated with Bia Maria (Campo/Cidade) and Castilho (Sabor do Vento), performing these songs live.
Jasmim inhabits a crossroads of influences—folk, psychedelia, Indie and Portuguese popular music—crafting a rich, multi-instrumental soundscape.
In 2025, he presents Dias em Branco, an album that reflects on the days we shape for ourselves—free, our own. In this ode to free time, Jasmim invites us to embrace the present.
