Friedemann Eichhorn is a German violinist known for his wide-ranging repertoire, which extends from Baroque music to modern tangos. A student of Valery Gradow at the Mannheim University of Music, he went on with <a href="spotify:artist:32i0ni9RO8Q7T7T7ZqkGU2">Yehudi Menuhin</a>'s recommendation to study with <a href="spotify:artist:5TBv06yPtILWcu198m6H1E">Alberto Lysy</a> at the International Menuhin Music Academy. He continued his studies at the Juilliard School of Music, studying violin with Margaret Pardee, chamber music with Earl Carlyss and Samuel Sanders, and conducting with <a href="spotify:artist:7oaCyiGLRiNA1olG3NRK39">Miguel Harth Bedoya</a>. Eichhorn earned his Ph.D. in musicology and law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. Among the orchestras he has performed with are the <a href="spotify:artist:1Xw28dK9PzkDagTyuRRnGd">St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:2MmbPxrrW8eagvKTU49aq1">Munich Symphony Orchestra</a>, the <a href="spotify:artist:6NGBN1QmBe5ldyr4cDfrVR">Hamburg Symphony Orchestra</a>, the Mannheim Chamber Orchestra, and the <a href="spotify:artist:3nalSUqHvdBGqIOjNqpzv9">Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra</a>. As a chamber musician, Eichhorn has collaborated with <a href="spotify:artist:1lTPVLj3LhHhLKqzQ9PftM">Julius Berger</a>, Alexander Huelshoff, <a href="spotify:artist:3XGSN1ohby5TBnIN0kbH2E">José Gallardo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6aldsrorHXbSzvcLUnqweo">Gerhard Oppitz</a>, and Thomas Müller-Pering. He is also a violin professor and director of the strings program at the Liszt School of Music at Weimar, and teaches master classes at the University of Music in Vienna, the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Guildhall School of Music in London, and the Gustav Mahler Academy in Bozen.
