Furnsss was a band formed in Bristol, Connecticut by brothers Brendan & Drew Dyer and Nathan & Parker Nye in 2010 when the kids were barely in High School. Brendan (Guitar/Lead Vocals), Drew (Lead Guitar, Keys), Nathan (Bass, Vocals), and Parker (Drums). The Nye brothers took on recording duties and mixed it themselves, a method that Furnsss would follow until their ending in 2017. Early influences for the band ranged from national acts such as <a href="spotify:artist:38zTZcuN7nFvVJ6auhc6V3" data-name="Deerhunter">Deerhunter</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1yAwtBaoHLEDWAnWR87hBT" data-name="Modest Mouse">Modest Mouse</a> while they were equally influenced by local heroes <a href="spotify:artist:2V2Xzt2eW8vxLWqJFLUPVf" data-name="High Pop">High Pop</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3KiviWUCvlcovBqbnSAjoo" data-name="Spook Houses">Spook Houses</a>. The band's debut 2012 release 'The Ferns' showcased their own stab at Lo-fi Indie Rock. 2013's follow up EP, 'The Fab EP', was the perfect segue to what the band consider their most important output, 2014's 'Silent Gold'. It had been recorded over a year between 2013 and 2014 and is the first release to feature the addition of songwriter, Jeremy Stern. With Dyer and Stern splitting up writing and singing duties, Silent Gold clocks in with 10 absolute bangers. From the Pavement and Naomi Punk worship of Dyer, to Stern's fascination with Weezer and Pile, it's all here. 2015's 'New Moves' EP followed up Silent Gold with Dyer's '#12 Looks Just Like You' and Stern's (fan-favorite) 'Manic Pixie Dream Girl'. 2015 saw the band doing plenty of touring with a rotating cast of members, into 2016 where they did their first and only nationwide tour with scene friends, Bread Pilot. The band released their final EP in Nov 2017 and said goodbye
