HELLGREASER are back!
Three years after "Symphonies of Horror" and the split EP "Greensleeves" with "The Crimson Ghosts" in 2022, "Hymns of the Dead", the first album in the new line-up, will finally be released in June 2024 via Sunny Bastards Records/Cargo!
Since 2020, band founder Slaughter Lamb has finally found a new, stable line-up with Chris Cranium (ex-The Other / Sumerian Tombs), Fabes (ex-Schelmish) and Dr. Hoffmann. The four serve you a dark punk rock record with influences from gothic rock and a small pinch of metal that goes beyond the usual genre boundaries of horror punk. The tempo of the twelve new songs is faster, the tracks are heavier, but at the same time - thanks to the integration of a second guitar in the songwriting - more melodic than in the past.
In terms of production, HELLGREASER, together with Mario Dahmen at Liquid Aether Audio, went their own way and for "Hymns of the Dead" - in favor of rock'n'roll - dispensed with triggers and samples and instead recorded real drums live together with the bass. The guitars were of course put through real amps and speakers, because this is the only way to ensure that it smacks properly!
You can see for yourself on January 8, 2024 with the first video single "Dead like you" - from January 12, 2024 the song will be released on all streaming portals just in time for the start of the six Germany shows together with the "BLOODSUCKING ZOMBIES FROM OUTER SPACE"!
