The Order of the Fly is a synth and guitar powered, metal-infused horrorpunk band operating from deep within the industrial wastelands of San Bernardino, CA.
The Order of the Fly officially began on Halloween night in the year 2000 and has featured multiple lineup changes over the years before settling on the true and final lineup of Ralphie Repulsive on bass and vocals, J’Syn Thetic on keytar and vocals, Tom Thyestean on guitar, Abby Noxious on synth and backing vocals, and Danny Disaster on drums.
They combine lyrical content cloaked in dystopic allegory and imagery, focusing on themes of alienation, distrust of control systems, and the spirit of individuality, with a riff-heavy blend of early 80s punk and hardcore, industrial rock, and proto-metal, to create a unique sound at once familiar and entirely unique. Their highly energetic and theatric live shows have created a devoted following within the underground.
