Hird is an artist project started by Christoffer Berg in the late 90's. Inspired by Detroit BeatDown techno, UK Trip-Hop and IDM, early Swedish Svek House and the rich cultural exchange between Scandinavian an US jazz musicians from the 50's and on, Hird became a melting pot of Modern Electronic music, Organic Soul and Vintage Jazz sounds.
Moving On and its singles "Keep You Kimi" and "I Love You My Hope" were well received with Post-Acid-Jazz crowds worldwide, and even made the Billboard Tokyo hot100 radio chart in Japan. Touring saw the Hird band play internationally and Christoffer djing in Europe and Japan sharing bills with greats such as Derrick May, Shuya Okino, Patrick Forge, Dj Cosmo, NuSpirit Helsinki, Norma Jean Bell among many more. He also opened for fellow swedes Koop at the legendary Blue Note in Tokyo.
When not on tour, Christoffer made a name for himself as a sought after mixer, remixer, producer and musician working with artists like the Knife, Fever Ray, Depeche Mode and Massive Attack to name a few.
The last public release from Hird was "From Dark to Light / Rotating Perspective" which got picked up by none other than David Mancuso through champion Colleen 'Cosmo' Murphy and was reportedly played on the sound at the legendary New York Loft Party.
