Honeycub

Emerging from the gritty northern city of Leeds, Honeycub are Ollie Wilson (Vocals/Guitars), Eddie Dawson (Bass) and Charlie Lord (Drums).


Formed in Leeds, England in 2018, their music is a melting (honey) pot of 90&#39;s alternative and grunge with flavours of early <a href="spotify:artist:4Z8W4fKeB5YxbusRsdQVPb" data-name="Radiohead">Radiohead</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:12Chz98pHFMPJEknJQMWvI" data-name="Muse">Muse</a> with a topping of modern day <a href="spotify:artist:2S5hlvw4CMtMGswFtfdK15" data-name="Royal Blood">Royal Blood</a> .


The band have gone from strength to strength and have been riding the wave of the rebirth of heavy guitar music in recent years. Support slots with scene heroes <a href="spotify:artist:1rT2DYzj3q6QnrxaqF4jnN" data-name="Fangclub">Fangclub</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5mGGqrCotZt5NvTxb6nsma" data-name="Big Spring">Big Spring</a> , <a href="spotify:artist:0rkzatSSd1Dh41phOf4qFT" data-name="Black Foxxes">Black Foxxes</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2KmAhNcPz1C3oz0rS4iMlx" data-name="Sick Joy">Sick Joy</a> have propelled the band quickly in popularity and helped to build a foundational following both live and online.


The band have had a successful start with their first 4 singles - most notably their single &#39;Waking Up&#39; - which made it onto a number of Spotify curated playlists including <a href="spotify:playlist:37i9dQZF1DXbQQUna7yzAX" data-name="Smells Like Stream Spirit">Smells Like Stream Spirit</a> and now has over 70,000 streams. These songs have been championed by several key people including Emily Pilbeam (BBC Introducing - Yorkshire) and Elise Cobain (Senior Music Programmer at Amazon Music).
