Hooray For Earth: est. 2004 by Noel Heroux. First just a placeholder phrase/name written on CD-Rs of Noel's solo recordings, "Hooray For Earth" soon emerged from the studio and grew to incorporate a live band. While largely remaining a solo recording venture (excluding 2014's Racy, written by Heroux and perfomed as a group), live members at various times included Jessica Zambri (Zambri, Solvey), Cristi Jo Zambri (Zambri, Autre Ne Veut), Seth Kasper, Joseph Ciampini (Bug Arms), Gary Benacquista, and Noel's dear childhood friend and frequent emergency contact Christopher Principe. Releases to date include two LPs, several EPs, singles and various home recordings. The band embarked on frequent U.S. and international tours until a 2014 hiatus. Hooray For Earth is currently a sprawling dropbox folder of .logicx, .wav, .psd, .txt files and such things, with the first sporadic performances since 2014 occurring in June of 2022.
