Hrafngrímur means " the one who wears a raven shaped face mask". It is a Neo Nordic artistic collective founded by Mattjö Haussy in early 2020. As a modern and fantazised interpretation of the Nordic Mythology and old Norse poetry, Hrafngrímur makes a connection between past and present time with the use of both ancient and modern instruments. The lyrics contain original texts in Old Norse from the Edda, but also refers to celtic, slavic and germanic references that are brought together in songs for an actual understanding.
By the suggestion and the evocation, the project gets involved in the revival of some kind of philosophy, believes, art, magic, aesthetics and music.
