1984年生まれ、茨城県出身のシンガーソングライター。2012年『第三惑星交響曲』でメジャーデビューし、2018年には初のベストアルバム『Huwie Best』を発表。同年、俳優の菅田将暉への提供曲『さよならエレジー』と『虹』がストリーミング３億回再生を超える大ヒットを記録。映画『アズミ・ハルコは行方不明』（2016）『そらのレストラン』（2019）といった映画に出演するなど、役者としても活躍する一方でライブ活動も精力的に展開し、2025年には自身最大規模となるホールツアーを開催。
