2000年、志村正彦を中心に結成。2009年、志村が急逝し、2011年夏より山内総一郎（Vo/Gt.）、金澤ダイスケ（Key）、加藤慎一（Ba）の新体制で本格始動。 叙情性と普遍性と変態性が見事に一体化した、シーン屈指の個性派ロックバンド。
「銀河」、「茜色の夕日」、「若者のすべて」などの代表曲を送り出し、2010年にリリースしたアルバム『MUSIC』収録曲「夜明けのBEAT」が「モテキ」TVドラマ版（2010年）主題歌、映画版（2011年）オープニングテーマとして連続起用された。
更には「つり球」「宇宙兄弟」「銀の匙 Silver Spoon」「アオハライド」「マギ シンドバッドの冒険」と数多くのアニメ主題歌も担当。 シングル「カンヌの休日 Feat. 山田孝之」は俳優・山田孝之氏がボーカルで参加し、疾走感に溢れ力強い印象的なサウンドとインパクトのある歌詞が話題となった。
2018年には映画「ここは退屈迎えに来て」主題歌、そして劇伴を担当。
2019年にデビュー15周年を迎え、10枚目となるフルアルバム『F』、そして初のPLAYLIST ALBUM「FAB LIST」をリリースし、
10月には”フジファブリック 15th anniversary SPECIAL LIVE at 大阪城ホール2019「IN MY TOWN」”を大成功にて終了した。
そして、2021年2月にはTVアニメ「Ｄｒ．ＳＴＯＮＥ」 第2期オープニングテーマとなる『楽園』、更に3月には11枚目となる新作アルバム『I Love You』をリリースする事も決定している。

In March 2021, they are set to release 11th album "I Love You".
