Josh Orange is an Australian Folk Rock band, formed in 2004.
Founding members Gordon Burke and Andrew Wass had been playing together for a few years, jamming at parties and generally hanging out together in an apartment they shared in Sydney’s Inner West Suburb of Glebe. The band recorded their first album "Big Day Tomorrow" in 2005 with their great friend and band mate Baline Munnings on bass Guitar and Alex Miller on Drums.
Four albums later and the doors started to finally open for JO. “Midnight Lights (2021)”, was the record that spawned three No.1 singles on the AMRAP metro charts, and the song “I Will Follow You” took out the top prize in the Americana section of The Mid Atlantic Songwriters Competition (Washington DC) in 2022. The track “Three Words” was picked up by Spotify and gained over 700,000 streams in 2023. The track “Little Miss America” picked up some fans and articles written by US magazine “New Jersey Stage/Gary Wien”. The band also caught the attention of French music distro company “Believe”, and signed a five year deal.
In 2024 the band released their fifth album “Birds for The Bayou”, It made album of the week on Aussie Music Weekly, and received reviews from bloggers around the world. The band recently sold out shows in Sydney and Penrith and recorded a single version of the song “What Have We Become”. “Believers And Dreamers", Engineered by Ben Worsey in April 2025, and mixed by the legendary Tim Palmer in his Austin Texas Studio. 2025!!
