Kalipo is one of the most creative forces in Berlin’s electronic music scene, with over 20 million streams and global radio airplay. He describes his style as Disco Punk or Neo Punk, channeling the spirit of today’s Indie Sleaze revival and floating through Dark Disco, Electroclash, Wave, Techno, and House.
With five solo albums and releases on respected labels like Iptamenos Discos, Ki Records, Get Physical, and Audiolith, Kalipo has earned a strong position in the scene. His work has been praised by TAZ, Spiegel Online, Rolling Stone, Musikexpress, DJ Mag, Mixmag, Groove, and Penthouse.
Beyond his solo work, Kalipo is a founding member of Frittenbude, the pioneering German Electropunk band that shape the genre and won the 1LIVE Krone, Germany’s top radio award. The band has charted in the DACH region and played major festivals like Rock am Ring and Rock im Park. Kalipo is also part of Dina Summer (with Local Suicide), hailed by FAZE as one of Germany’s most promising electronic acts.
