Recipient of the prestigious 2023 <a href="spotify:artist:0dicUFoK5LIbqu6OoHu8VH" data-name="Sir Georg Solti">Sir Georg Solti</a> Conducting Award, conductor Keitaro Harada is armed with intensity and depth, consistently providing riveting concerts and opera performances in Asia, the Americas, and Europe. And as Music & Artistic Director of the Savannah Philharmonic since the 2020-21 season—where he has recently renewed his contract through the 2026-27 season—Harada has transformed the quality of the orchestra and energized its audiences throughout the community with his imaginative programs and charismatic presence. Associate Conductor of the <a href="spotify:artist:7aEZ4wPWZg1X5NzZVt2Yre" data-name="Tokyo Symphony Orchestra">Tokyo Symphony Orchestra</a>, Harada has also forged a close connection with the <a href="spotify:artist:41dt7Un3zDLbOpYfTasmid" data-name="NHK Symphony Orchestra">NHK Symphony Orchestra</a>, with whom he appears frequently. His eclectic musical scope ranges from symphony, opera, and chamber works to pops, film scores, educational outreach, and multidisciplinary projects, all of which enrich his programming.

現在、アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジアを中心に目覚しい活躍を続けている期待の俊英。
シンシナティ交響楽団およびシンシナティ・ポップス･オーケストラ、アリゾナ・オペラ、リッチモンド交響楽団のアソシエイト･コンダクターを経て、2020年シーズンから、アメリカジョージア州サヴァンナ・フィルハーモニックの音楽＆芸術監督に就任。
オペラ指揮者としても実績が多く、アリゾナ・オペラやノースカロライナ・オペラに定期的に出演、シンシナティ・オペラ、ブルガリア国立歌劇場でも活躍。
10年タングルウッド音楽祭で小澤征爾フェロー賞、13年ブルーノ・ワルター指揮者プレビュー賞、14・15・16・20年米国ショルティ財団キャリア支援賞受賞。09年ロリン・マゼール主催の音楽祭「キャッソルトン・フェスティバル」にマゼール本人の招待を受けて参加。11年には芸術監督ファビオ・ルイジの招聘によりＰＭＦにも参加。
85年東京生まれ。インターロッケン芸術高校音楽科において、指揮をF.フェネルに師事。
オーケストラやオペラのほか、室内楽、バレエ、ポップスやジャズ、そして教育的プログラムにも積極的に携わっている。
2021年4月より東京交響楽団正指揮者に就任する。
