MOONBAND (悶餅) is a five-piece indie rock band from Zhaoqing in southern China. Formed in 2012, the band members each bring different musical tastes and styles, blending a range of elements into their unique sound.
The band with clean sound, lo-fi distortion, powerful drums which combine the dynamic power of math-rock and the darkness of emo-rock. Their fanbase was captivated by the youthful energy and introspective lyrics of their 2017 debut EP 便利店女孩 (Convenience Store Girl). They released the full-length album 大众审美 (Popular Aesthetics) in 2022, skillfully blends modern and retro elements into an eclectic and engaging mix.
