A sort of Latin rap supergroup, Latino Velvet included Latin hip-hop pioneer Frost (formerly Kid Frost; born Art Molina) and N2Deep's Jay Tee (born James Trujillo), as well as Baby Bash (born Ronnie Bryant) and Don Cisco (Francisco Soto). The group issued their debut album, Clique, in 1998, nabbing guest spots from Mellow Man Ace, N2Deep, Celly Cel, and Roger Troutman.
