Songstress Lauriana Mae released her most personal statement to date. Growing up in the landscape of diverse people, blue-collar ideals, and joyous backyard gatherings with dynamic music playing. Just an hour away from that world, Lauriana pursues her calling in New York City. Since her adolescence, the singer with the smoky voice took to the Big Apple with a backpack and a yearning to thrive in the music industry. Out of that journey emerges her musical story.
Mae’s current project retraces some of those experiences, some of which are ongoing. “It feels like a ton of bricks have been lifted off of me,” she says, now able to share her art without any red tape. “Before, I felt like I was searching for something that everyone else wanted. There were times when I felt like I was ahead of trends or had innovative ideas, but I couldn’t get them out because I wasn’t established enough.” Lauriana is proud of her journey, which includes projects, Love Mae, City Of Diamonds, and Can’t Go Back, extended plays.
