Composer and artist Lisa Nordström started releasing music with internationally acclaimed electronic duo Midaircondo in the early 2000s. After a degree in classical music, Nordström went on to exploring electronic instruments, sound art and improvisation.
Nordström has released ten full length albums for labels like Type Records, Kning Disk, Ajabu! and her own label Twin Seed Recordings. She also appears on numerous of collaborative albums. Nordström has toured extensively all over the world and her work has been presented at festivals like Sónar, Sonar Sound Tokyo, Mutek Festival, Molde Jazzfestival and Berlin Music Week.
Lisa Nordström works in a wide spectrum of genres: improvisation, electronic music, defragmented pop and experimental sound art. The music ranges from live improvised experimental music to complex structured electronic music compositions.
Having a thorough experience as a score composer, Nordström has created music for several motion pictures and documentaries, as well as commercial films. In January 2022 she was awarded a Guldbaggen award, a Swedish Oscar, for her original score for the praised documentary “Children of the Enemy”.
Her latest release, an epic nine hour long musical journey, spanning over four albums, came out in February 2022. Entitled “Moon”, “Void”, “Midnight” and “Snow” it is meant to accompany the listener through the morning, mid-day, afternoon and evening - a full day of sound adventures signed Lisa Nordström.
