Mad Conductor traverses the musical wilderness using a psychedelic compass that spins hypnotically from hip-hop to punk & rocksteady to funk. Led by vocalist and guitarist MC Devlin, their energetic live shows and consistent independent releases have earned the band a devoted cult following. The four piece band is currently on a northeastern tear playing new and classic material. Since forming in Pennsylvania in 2006 they have toured the U.S. extensively and have enjoyed several tours in Europe and Canada. From 2011 – 2014 the band was based in New Orleans but are now back in Pennsylvania with members from the original line up. Their shows can be a place to mosh, dance, or just stand in a trance as the band uses drums, keyboards, bass, guitar, brass and miscellaneous effect processors to play songs that range from feel-good, uptempo dance numbers to eerie, odd time signature experiments. Mad Conductor has always been known for taking risks, often contrary to what even their biggest fans expect from them, but one consistent thing has been the level of commitment they put into delivering the best recordings and live performances they can, for no other reason than pure love for the craft of music.
