Emem Major Atat who is widely known by his professional name Majorboi hails from ikot abasi local government area of Akwaibom State Nigeria.This Nigerian young talented afropop/afrobeat artist and song writer is inspired by everyday life challenges. His genre and style of music is a very unique one. His music career started at a very tender age when Him & his friends came together and formed a band. The group which he left after he gained admission to study Insurance at the the prestigious University of Uyo Nigeria in 2017.
In 2019, He got discovered by Embolab records, a swedish independent record label. He became a household name in the university of Uyo after the release of his song Pause think am which he addressed the robbery and rape incident that happen in the female hostel in the university of Uyo. A song which gained reasonable amount of streams & downloads on streaming platforms.
The name Majorboi is a force to reckon with, a voice to the voiceless, he has through his music spread love and unity in diversity,this gain him series of awards in the university as most talented student of the year, the best student music artist in two different events organized by the student union.Within a very short period,He has released more than 15 critically acclaimed hit tracks, album which has gained considerable support from fans.
