Mendel started playing the guitar at the age of 12. His father, whom also introduced him to classical music at an early age, got him his first electric guitar after seeing him noodling on the acoustic guitar that was lying around.
Mendel’s compositions are heavy influenced by classical composers like Bach and Rachmaninov. After playing and touring with Belgian death metal band Aborted for 7 years, he is now focusing on his solo music, which brings the worlds of classical music and progressive metal together.
He also loves harpsichords.
