Michael Peter Olsen is a classically trained cellist, an experienced international touring musician, film composer, record producer and Grammy Nominated songwriter. He has collaborated and performed on releases from Drake, Ed Sheeran, Arcade Fire, Sharon Van Etten, Electric Youth, Riuchi Sakamoto, Tiesto, Zoon, The Hidden Cameras, Jim Guthrie, and K-OS to name a few, appearing on over 150 recordings. He’s applied his studio expertise on many levels, producing and engineering albums for along the way. As a composer Michael has also scored music for network TV, animated series, and feature and short films. He has toured Canada, Europe and Japan as a solo artist and continues to develop his concept of "post-cello". His latest full length was released in October 2023.
