Manila-raised, Miguel Odron moved to Indiana at age 13 where he started singing and writing songs to try and improve his English. Encouraged by a wins in local songwriting competitions, he earned his degree at Purdue University and decided to move back to the Philippines to pursue music. In 2018, just a month after moving back, his original compositions earned him a deal with Star Music. In 2019, Miguel garnered attention after joining the first season of Idol Philippines, placing in the top 5 and becoming widely known for his unique sound.
He started his 2020 on a high note with “Song Feels”, his first headliner concert together with JMKO, Jeremy G., and Sam Mangubat. The concert was held at the esteemed entertainment venue, Music Museum. It was then followed with the release of his very first single “Chevy Cruze” which landed spots on Spotify’s New Music Friday Playlists of 16 different countries namely the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam, as well as in countries on the Gulf region such as Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. He dropped the music video of Chevy Cruze weeks after and earned the support of Apple Music, MTV Asia, and the country’s number 1 music channel, MYX.
