"reon" (麗音 in Kanji) meaning "麗" is beautiful, "音" is sound, is a Filipino indie music duo formed in 2020 which focuses mainly on making bedroom pop music. The band consists of Noah Alejandre (singer-songwriter, producer) and Reanne Julia Borela (singer-songwriter). “reon” started releasing songs on January 6th of 2020 with its debut single “Off My Mind”.
The duo was crowned the Grand Champions during the Philpop 2020 Songwriting Competition being one of the youngest contenders who competed in Philpop with their bilingual pop entry entitled "Suyo" which features the story of lovers bantering both in Tagalog and Bisaya language. They also won PhilPop 2020's People's Choice Award for the Visayas Cluster.
The duo band embraces its simplicity and rawness of its tracks by telling narratives of different experiences which captures the ears of many. Upon exploring different genres to delve in to, “reon” identifies itself as distinct, with its take on different genres on each of its releases.
