Michael “Mike Jay” Jiménez, Grammy nominated American Singer/Songwriter, producer, and recording artist was born in Detroit, Michigan and developed his talents as a youth in the church -- specifically Perfecting Church, with <a href="spotify:artist:2QuleHm5yBUYv3vjqWTM79" data-name="Marvin Winans">Marvin Winans</a> as his pastor. At the age of eight, Jay and his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia. His first credits came as a teenager, beginning in 2012 his first major single, <a href="spotify:artist:7bXgB6jMjp9ATFy66eO08Z" data-name="Chris Brown">Chris Brown</a>'s high-gloss dance-pop anthem "Turn Up the Music," which peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. For <a href="spotify:artist:119SVYLj719zKYcTXAcADV" data-name="Raffaëla">Raffaëla</a>'s "Going Crazy," released the same year, he worked beside <a href="spotify:artist:4BIQA9vRkqXEnA2twmq7mU" data-name="Mario Winans">Mario Winans</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:2QuleHm5yBUYv3vjqWTM79" data-name="Marvin Winans">Marvin Winans</a>' stepson). The following year, Jiminez's accomplishments included work on <a href="spotify:artist:6vZUJpsm4VHjSWpedp05vg" data-name="Trevor Jackson">Trevor Jackson</a>'s "We Grown," <a href="spotify:artist:3JtMYDSAxiLs0nBouqwuVZ" data-name="Marcus Canty">Marcus Canty</a>'s "Stay in Love," <a href="spotify:artist:2NdeV5rLm47xAvogXrYhJX" data-name="Ciara">Ciara</a>'s "One Night with You," and <a href="spotify:artist:1lEXbUjKjHQ7uc9jFfEViJ" data-name="TGT">TGT</a>'s "Our House."
