Nicknamed "The Caribbean Patti Smith" or "the punky voodoo queen", the blues woman and (real) voodoo priestess Moonlight Benjamin blends Haitian melodies and a US blues rocks inspired by Black Keys or Dr John.
Born in Haïti, living in Europe since 2002, Moonlight (her real firstname) performed in different roots and jazz music projects for 15 years, before she met the French guitarist and composer Matthis Pascaud.
The world really discovered her when they released her 1st electric album "Siltane" in 2018 and after the 70 concerts they performed in 2019 in 15 countries, being then featured in international medias such as The Guardian (UK), The New York Times (US), Songlines (UK), Rolling Stones (FR), ... airplayed by Iggy Pop at the BBC, ... or named by Marting Gore (Depeche Mode) as his 2020 favorite pick.
She continues her wild Carribean journey with an upcoming album in 2023, bringing rougher guitar sounds and drums to her powerful and rebellious voice.
