Saint Clair releases her visual EP 'in the violet hour: a portrait on grief' in November 2020; an 18 minute long-form music video made up of 4 individual chapters exploring the different stages of the grieving process. The film, directed by her sister Tam Topolski, was shot completely independently in their family home and was inspired by the loss of their father, the journalist and rowing coach Daniel Topolski.

Saint Clair - so-called after her mother’s Scottish ancestry in Sinclair Bay - is the recording alias of French-speaking Londoner, Emma Topolski. Starting her musical journey as a jazz singer & session multi-instrumentalist with artists like Bombay Bicycle Club, Laura Marling and Ghostpoet, she has since shifted her focus onto songwriting and producing as Saint Clair. Her first two EP’s - released under her own imprint Dearly Beloved, which takes it’s logo from one of her Grandfather, Polish artist Feliks Topolski’s sketches - are a flawless blend of traditional songwriting and the more electronica-rooted soul of artists like Son Lux and James Blake.
