With his 12th album Quiet Revolution in his 25-year career, Canadian composer / DJ / musician Poirier takes things a step further and expands his vision and craft with clarity. Quiet Revolution offers a comforting and intimate vibe where electronic and acoustic music fuse in a timeless way thanks to his delicate touch and arrangements. A sort of renewal in consistency, as he keeps the same mindset that guided him on his last album Soft Power; carry a specific emotion without superfluity. To describe his new album, Poirier says “it's the music of crossing paths”.
Constant in his music is a desire to build bridges between different sounds, communities and cultures. He now has produced a total of 12 albums with labels such as Ninja Tune and Wonderwheel Recordings.
Poirier toured his brand of music and openness to people in over 30 countries worldwide and he has performed in major festivals, such as BoomTown, Dour Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival, Garorock, Sonar Festival, Nyege Nyege and many more. He did also more than 55 official remixes for many artists like Gotan Project, Salif Keita, Nickodemus , João Selva, Guts , Souleance, Thornato, Gilles Peterson, K.O.G, Flavia Coelho, Chinese Man, Popcaan, Busy Signal.
