Rosemarie Lang is a well-known German dramatic soprano. She was born in Erzgebirge, studied singing at the Leipzig Musikhochschule, and won a first prize at an international singing competition while still a student.

She joined the opera companies of Altenburg and Leipzig. She sings the Strauss roles of Octavian (Rosenkavalier) and the Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos), <a href="spotify:artist:7vfydQ0nVBVgJ0ajs8EtRM">Gluck</a>'s Clytemnestra, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, <a href="spotify:artist:1JOQXgYdQV2yfrhewqx96o">Verdi</a>'s Azucena, and the <a href="spotify:artist:1C1x4MVkql8AiABuTw6DgE">Wagner</a>ian roles of Brangäne, Venus, Fricka, and Waltraute, as well as the Countess Geschwitz in Berg's Lulu.

She is also active as a recording, recital, and concert artist, and has sung in <a href="spotify:artist:5aIqB5nVVvmFsvSdExz408">Bach</a> oratorios.
