Rui Reis Maia is an award-winning Portuguese-Dutch film composer, producer, and multidisciplinary artist. His works include the series Modern Love Amsterdam (2022) Zina (2024) Sihame (2025), and the internationally acclaimed documentary Shadow Game (2021). In 2020, Rui won the Golden Calf for Best Music (the Dutch equivalent of the Oscar) for The Promise of Pisa. Two years later, he received the Buma Award for Best Music in Documentary for Shadow Game. Beyond his film and television work, Rui releases solo projects through his label Organic Cloud Records, blending electronic textures with acoustic instrumentation into a style that moves between the intimate and the cinematic. Raised in Amsterdam, Rui's music is guided by an intuitive process of balancing contrasts: dark and light, minimal and orchestral, personal and universal.
