Shelly Sony was born in Norway to a father from Brazil and a mother from Argentina. So she had music coursing through her before she could walk. She feels that her musical skills were inherited directly from her father who imparted a love of bossa, MPB and reggae rhythms to her as a child. She describes herself as passionate person who feels that dignity and love are two of the most important things one can have in this life. Shelly thinks she can express herself most fully through her music, which, like her, is neither vain nor pretentious. She likes spinning a new sound and offering her own swinging reggae take on whatever the song of the day might be.
