Cleveland, Ohio's SomeKindaWonderful make raw, rock-inflected R&B centered around lead vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:48VCV5ft0wXoTrlvZ8SoeD" data-name="Jordy Towers">Jordy Towers</a>. The group formed after <a href="spotify:artist:48VCV5ft0wXoTrlvZ8SoeD" data-name="Jordy Towers">Jordy Towers</a> at the time was signed to Interscope Records, parted ways with the label and relocated to the suburbs of Cleveland from Los Angeles. Literally, on his first night in a new city, Towers met drummer Ben Schigel and guitarist Matt Gibson at bar and SomeKindaWonderful were born. They wrote Reverse that night. In 2014 they released “Reverse” as a single which garnered airplay on Los Angeles' KROQ, reaching number five on the station's most played list of songs as well as hitting the top 10 on the Billboard charts for Alternative Songs. Their self-titled debut appeared in June of that year. After breaking away from the touring life in 2016 Towers has been releasing new SKW singles on his own like “Wheels Up feat Casey Veggies” , “Lion” and “I’m Sorry”.
