The Bags are a rock band from Boston, USA, made up of three high school friends; Crispin Wood (guitar & vocals), Jon Hardy (vocals & bass), and Jim Janota (drums). We have released six albums together, starting with Rock Starve in 1987.
In 1989 we won the renowned WBCN Rock ’n’ Roll Rumble and came dangerously close to becoming full-time major label musicians. Instead, we made an “experimental” album under the name Swamp Oaf, which was written, recorded, and mixed in one 16-hour session. We plan to re-release Rock Starve and Swamp Oaf eventually. Hang in there!
