The Hempsteadys

Formed on Hempstead St. in New London, Connecticut in 2006.

The early years for the Hempsteadys were of an underground phenomenon never releasing an album, only existing late at night as a shared experience with an audience as involved as the band.

July of 2015 the Hempsteadys lineup tightened up and the band released their first single “Fox”. The B-Side “Fleamarket” was the surprise hit that ushered in a new era for the band. Soon after the full length monster musical concept album “El Amor de los Muertos” was released by the end of the same year. The Hempsteadys gained recognition in the U.S. and abroad while promoting the album with a national radio campaign, worldwide press, and a steady stream of performances throughout the north eastern United States and Canada.

2018 brought their follow up “Séance! Séance!”, which saw their fan base grow as it received critical acclaim and stands as the bands strongest release to date.

The Hempsteadys continue to release new music bringing the single “Goldentooth” to the world in 2022 and their 3rd full length album “On The Undercard” released July 14, 2023.
