The quintessential ‘60s girl group, The Ronettes were fronted by the incredibly charismatic Ronnie Spector and backed up by her sister Estelle Bennett and cousin, Nedra Talley.

Born in Spanish Harlem, the girls took their look from the streets, merged it with attitude and brought it to the stage creating their ‘Bad Girl’ style with sky-high ‘beehive’ hairdos, Cleopatra make-up and slit-up-the-side skirts. ‘Ronnie and the Ronettes’ stage show was unlike any other female group at that time; smoldering with sexuality and frenetic dancing which induced audience hysteria and at times rioting.

They began recording in 1961 with initial chart success in 1963 with their genre-defining hit ‘Be My Baby’. Other hits followed including ‘Baby, I Love You’, ‘Walking In the Rain’ and ‘Do I Love You?’. Their last Top Ten recording was the Christmas classic ‘Sleigh Ride’ in January 2022.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2007, Ronnie’s instantly recognizable voice and the Ronettes visual style continue to influence new generations of performers throughout the world from Punk to Pop to Country to Hip-hop. Their impact has proved timeless.
