The Stoned Immaculate formed in Glasgow in 2018. They are made up of songwriters Louis Jamieson and Harrison Todd as well as Callum Hughes and Scott Lennon. Emmy Leishman, Ross Mills and Evangelene Hayes, all do various additional instrumentation and vocals. Drawing inspiration from the experimental songwriting of MGMT and The Flaming Lips, The Stoned Immaculate aren't defined by a specific genre. Sampling the dance and neo-psychedelic sound of the Happy Mondays and psychotic Stranglers-esque basslines The Stony Macs have strived to carve out a sound and sensibility that is uniquely their own, yet different every time. While they impressed in support of bands such as Calva Louise and LIFE before the pandemic, they have since released 4 EPs and sold out all their headline shows, making them one of Glasgow's most prolific artists. Their fourth EP ‘Whatever.’ came out on the 26th of May, produced by Chris McCrory. Always onto the next thing, they’re currently mid rollout of their newest project - a mixtape. So far 3 singles have been released including "put me in a letter' which has gained massive popularity and support through Amazing Radio, and sought after Spotify playlists which include: New Music Friday, Fresh Finds UK & IE, The Other List, Fresh Finds Indie and Melomania. Their next single "home movies' is set to be released in February and will be a continuation of the mixtape rollout.
