Vanives are for sunsets and sunrises, for long car journeys and coffee shop corners. They translate their love for the natural world and life affirming experiences into cathartic songwriting and nostalgic tones. Fronted by Stuart Lawrie Ramage, who grew up away from the Indie Scenes of Glasgow and the London songwriting world, uses his quaint home of Castle Douglas as the backbone to his songwriting, beginning the bands journey in 2018 by sampling old family VHS tapes.
The alt/pop band (Stuart Lawrie Ramage - vocals/guitar, Roan Ballantine - keys/production and Kyle Sharp- drums) are now based in Glasgow, having had their debut album ‘Thanks’ premiered on BBC radio 1 by Gemma Bradley and picked up by editorial playlists like Spotifys ‘The Most Beautiful Songs In The World’ and ‘New Music Friday’.
