VISTA was anything but dormant. From 2016-2020, the New York-based electronic alt-rock outfit remained consistently active, having completed five US tours, released four EPs, shared the stage with Fearless Records’ Set It Off, and earned music video rotation in Journeys’ stores nationwide. The compelling duo, made up of lead vocalist Hope Vista and guitarist Greg Almeida, elevated the word ‘independent’ to their own playing ground, racking up nearly 2 million streams alone on Spotify. Their branding was hypnotizing; aside from their familiar black and blue color palette, VISTA captivated listeners with their trademark alternative influences and entrancing live show.
Their last EP “The Repair,” released on February 14th, 2020, was the second EP in The Trilogy era. Consisting of three separate EPs (“The Ruins,” “The Repair,” and “The Revival”), The Trilogy era was a personal testament to VISTA’s evolution since their inception in late 2015. A distinct blend of active rock and cinematic pop, “The Repair” expands on the notable experimentation and haunting lyricism of their prior release, “The Ruins” (Oct 2019). The band’s signature dark, synth-laden production is still present, but it’s impossible to ignore their contagious hooks and elevated sense of self. With the release of "The Repair," which premiered exclusively on Kerrang!, VISTA was hardly at a climax.
