Influenced by many music styles Why Tony's music can be best described as a cocktail of blues, grunge and dreamy melodies, coming together in the pop/rock- genre. The band released 4 albums through the years and currently started releasing their upcoming 5th album.
After 'Innerspace' (2014) and 'Semi-By-Accident' (2017) the group released their third album 'Mindhoven' in (2019).
In 2022 Why Tony's 4th album ''With a view to birds'', a piano-based instrumental record appeared. It includes 8 original tunes and 4 interpretations of Muse, Mozes and the Firstborn, Aidan & the Wild and classical composer/pianist Frédéric Chopin. Due to Covid and a limited vinyl-release the album came out as ´´Side A´´ and ´´Side B´´. Not an album for the charts, but an atmospheric filmish piece of art which reached another audience. Next to ´´With a view to birds´´ the band also released a new rocksingle called ´´Stranger Things´´. The song got airplay at radiostations NPO 3FM and KiNK-radio.
The band has been recording a lot of new material during 2021-2023. The 2023 fall tour included several shows in NL, Antwerp and Berlin and promoted 'Survival Control Head'. ´Yeah´ was the follow up single in early 2024. A new complete album is on it´s way with the latest release of ´Seven Seas Daydream´, the first single from the record. Their live reputation is energetic, raw, warm, melodic and dynamic with a set of songs picked from all their albums.
